The encrypted DM function of X, XChat, deploys more widely

The long -awaited encrypted DMS function of X, XChat, becomes more widely available.
Although the functionality shipped in beta in May, XChat is now accessible to more users, including those who do not subscribe to X Premium.
Separated from the existing DM reception box, XChat is encrypted from start to finish. The chat system supports multimedia downloads, group cats, pinned messages and the possibility of marking messages like read or not read. The disappearance of the vanishing mode would also have been in preparation.
Currently, users can only access Xhat if they choose to use it. On the desktop, XChat is accessible to certain users of the Messages tab. There, you can access “cat” from a menu option which appears above “messages of messages”. On the mobile, “cat” appears in the main navigation bar on the left, just above the communities.
Before using XChat, you must define a four-digit code to protect your messages, similar to other encrypted platforms as a signal. It is only after defining the code in which you can start sending messages to other users who have also opted.
In the current state of things, XChat is not a complete replacement of the longtime DM system. Instead, these messages now appear under a tab that says “unacceptable” in the cat menu.
