Visit New York Mets will have to generate more offense if they will beat the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday evening and avoid a three -game scan.

Megill gave four points deserved in his first 30 rounds this season, but abandoned 14 points deserved in the last 14 rounds.
“I put myself in bad situations by late,” said Megill after his last departure, in which he gave four points and four strokes in 2 2/3 rounds during a 6-2 defeat against New York Yankees on Friday. “This is the essential, just the front of the strikers.”
The left-handed Garrett Crochet (4-3, 2.00 ERA) is listed on Wednesday as the probable Boston starter. The hook made an appearance against the dishes during his career, spending 0-1 with an MPM of 2.70. Then, with the White Sox of Chicago, the hook gave a race on three strokes in 3 1/3 sleeves in a 2-0 dish victory.
“Let’s see what’s going on tomorrow,” said Cora. “We have to adjust the tempo of the mound. We had the right guy tomorrow; we just have to continue throwing. We did a good job (Monday). We did an exceptional job (Tuesday). We started Garrett, so I hope he can continue to do his thing and we can score some additional races.”
