An autopsy noted that a nine-year-old Montreal daughter was killed by her father during the weekend was drowned.

Details on Melina’s death were released a few hours before people gathered for a vigil at the Parc du Centenaire Percy Thompson in Ticonderoga – a small town of around 4,700 people located about 200 kilometers south of Montreal.

There were speeches and solemn music, while the candles were on and people gathered in prayer.

With her trembling voice, Bridgette Cruz, a resident of Ticonderoga who organized the vigil, told the crowd that “no child should be left on the side of the road”.

“If this is where his sweet soul was found, then it is the place of rest of his soul,” said Cruz. “She will be one of us.”

Before the event, Cruz told CBC News that the vigil was supposed to highlight the collective sorrow felt by people, including parents, on both sides of the border.

“I have the impression that we somehow need a small closure here in this city for it,” she said.

Police ask for public help

In addition to the preliminary autopsy results, the police have published images of a Toyota Prius Gris 2024, the car in which the father and the daughter traveled.

They urge anyone who saw him to contact the authorities by calling 518-873-2750 or by sending an email to crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.

They said they were specifically looking for people who may have encountered the car leading to the i-87 areas to the north between outings 28 and 20 on Saturday evening.

Details of Frattolin’s financial situation began to surface on Monday.

He owes more than $ 150,000 to Scotiabany, according to two distinct judicial cases. The bank alleys that he concluded credit agreements between 2023 and 2024 linked to his company, Gambella Coffee.

Frattolin also requests more than $ 115,000 in damages from business partners who, according to him, ordered an Airbnb on Bernard Street in Montreal in 2022, according to court documents.

Police said on Monday the investigation had not yet discovered possible reason for the alleged murder.
