Netanyahu insists there can be no Palestinian state before UN vote

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Sunday to oppose any attempt to create a Palestinian state, a day before the UN Security Council votes on a US draft resolution on Gaza that leaves the door open to Palestinian independence.
