TCS strengthens the development of SDV with new European poles

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the creation of three new installations in Europe to improve its offers in the vehicle sector defined by software (SDV).
The company has created two car delivery centers in Germany, located in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen, in addition to an engineering installation in Romania.
The Indian It Major said that these new installations represent a strategic effort to support its international automotive customers in the progression of their new generation mobility solutions.
German delivery centers will help car manufacturers create and implement TCS software -oriented services, contact areas such as autonomous driving, infotainment, security systems and connected vehicle technologies.
At the same time, Romanian Engineering Center will focus on the development of advanced automotive software platforms to stimulate innovation and development at an early stage.
TCS has added that this initiative is part of its broader commitment to extend its automotive software capabilities, covering Cloud chip technologies and related services.
Currently, the centers employ more than 100 professionals who will collaborate with more than 2,000 SDV engineers based in global locations of TCS.
This workforce will focus on the creation of advanced car platforms for digital cockpits, infotainment, advanced driving aid systems and other essential SDV functions.
It will help cover the entire life cycle of products, ideation and development to production and continuous support, added the company.
The Internet of Objects of TCS (IoT) and the world chief regime of digital engineering said: “These new centers will position TC at the forefront of automotive innovation, allowing us to provide advanced solutions in autonomous driving and advanced cockpit systems.
“This expansion reaffirms our commitment to direct the transformation of the space of vehicles defined by software.”
The expansion of TCS is aligned with the transition from the global automotive industry to software, connected and autonomous mobility solutions.
The Anupam Singhal of the manufacturing and the TCS business group said: “The transition to vehicles defined by software marks a decisive moment for the automotive industry.
“With the launch of these new centers, we deepen our commitment to support OEMs in the construction of the next generation of smart, connected and sustainable vehicles.”
Recently, TCS has formed a long -term strategic partnership with the Danish retailer Salling Group to direct its digital transformation and its migration of the cloud focused on AI.
This collaboration will include 2,100 stores, brands and 68,000 Salling Group employees through Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
