Several parts of Europe will be hit by extreme weather conditions ranging from “exceptionally strong winds” to snow and freezing temperatures with the arrival of Storm Goretti on Thursday. The UK, France and Germany will be worst hit by the storm, with the UK Met Office issuing a “rare” red wind warning for the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall in southwest England.
