Spurs 3 – 0 Doncaster

Joao Palhinha marked an air header to help Tottenham to beat the League a 3-0 Doncaster at home to reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Palhinha was one of the four players to keep his place in the 2-2 draw on Saturday on Saturday in Brighton while the boss of Spurs Thomas Frank made seven changes.
The international of Portugal struck an acrobatic goal of the 14th minute from a corner while he jumped on the bad punch of the Doncaster goalkeeper Ian Lawlor to finish wonderfully in an empty net.
The Spurs doubled their advance three minutes later when Doncaster’s defender Jay McGrath transformed Low Cross by Wilson Odobert into his own net.
Doncaster was denied an itinerary in the match by the Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who made a fabulous 39th minute stop for the first flight of Owen Bailey through the goal on the post.
The Spurs had trouble in the second half because they had less ball than their visitors to the lower league, who did not have the final quality to threaten a return.
There was a start of Spurs for Luca Williams-Barnett, 16, almost had the hand for a goal while he was playing in Destiny Udogie, whose ball was operated at home by Lucas Bergvall, but Brennan Johnson was offside in construction.
Johnson, however, compensated for his error by scoring with the final touch of the game in time of time when he skillfully finished his chance after being released by Bergvall.
The victory means that the Spurs went from 18 of their last 19 links of the League Cup against the sides of a lower division.
