My boyfriend sent me those four dreaded words: “Is your Spotify broken?” Sure enough, his Spotify account, mine and those of thousands of other users appear to be down at the moment, with Downdetector logging over 10,000 user reports.
Spotify is apparently working on the problem. The Spotify Status account shared an update on X Monday at 9:45 a.m.: “We are currently aware of some issues and are checking them!”
Updated, December 15, 2025, 10:39 a.m. ET: Spotify did not indicate the cause of the outage, but the service’s official account now claims that all issues have been resolved.
