According to reports, the uncertainty has already started affecting Bangladeshi players commercially. Indian sports equipment company Sanspareils Greenlands (SG) has reportedly decided not to pursue sponsorship deals with several Bangladesh cricketers, including captain Litton Das. Although no official communication has yet been released, players and their representatives have been informally alerted. “I haven’t officially heard anything like that,” an SG-sponsored Bangladeshi cricketer told Cricbuzz, reflecting the confusion within the camp.A senior BCB official, speaking to Cricbuzz on condition of anonymity, admitted that the players were suffering from severe mental strain. “It is a very difficult time for the cricketers as they are not sure what awaits them in the coming days. They are quite tensed and that is understandable,” the official said, adding that the players were regularly contacting the board officials for clarification on Bangladesh’s position in the World Cup.
