Brandy And Ray Jit’s mom, Sonja Norwoodsupported her son in his legal battle against his ex Kim Kardashian And Kris Jenner, Us every week can exclusively report.
On Dec. 12, Norwood, 75, filed a statement supporting Ray J’s efforts to convince a Los Angeles judge to drop the defamation lawsuit filed by Kardashian, 45, and Jenner, 70.
Norwood wrote: “Around 2008, I discovered that Kim Kardashian and her siblings, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney KardashianAnd Robert Kardashian Jr.., had incurred approximately $850,000 in unauthorized charges maintained by members of my family.
In the filing, Norwood explained that she sued the Kardashian siblings. “Before filing a complaint, I told my son: [Ray J]about the Kardashian siblings’ theft.
(In 2009, Kim and Norwood settled down, according to Peoplewhich resolved the lawsuit.)
In his statement, Ray J, 44, said he “fell out” with Kim and her family over the credit card drama.

As We As previously reported, Kim and Jenner sued Ray J in October, accusing him of defaming them by making them the subject of a federal investigation.
“Unable to accept the end of his short-lived relationship with [Kim] over twenty years ago, Ray J repeatedly sought to attach himself to [Kim and Kris’] names and exploit their notoriety for personal gain,” the lawsuit alleges.
Kim and Jenner pointed out that on September 24, 2025, Ray J “escalated his attacks during a live social media broadcast broadcast to millions, stating, ‘The federal RICO I’m about to launch on Kris and Kim is about to go crazy’ and that ‘the feds are coming.’
Kim and Jenner said Ray J “then announced to millions of viewers that the racketeering case against [Kim and Jenner] would be “worse than Diddy,” referring to the high-profile federal RICO charges against Sean “Diddy” Combs for heinous allegations of sex trafficking and violent abuse of women.
The lawsuit added: “Ray J has provided no evidence for these explosive accusations. »
“Ray J’s public statements are patently false. No such federal investigation exists; no law enforcement agency has initiated any criminal proceedings or investigation related to the racketeering charges against [Kim] or Mrs. Jenner; and no credible evidence supports these inflammatory allegations,” Kim and Jenner’s lawsuit states.
In response, Ray J filed a counterclaim against Kim and Jenner for his infamous 2006 sex tape with Kim. He denied allegations that he leaked it. He accused Kim and Jenner of making a deal with adult film company Vivid, despite their claims that they had nothing to do with it. He claimed they lied about the details of the sex tape for years.
He said he reached a private settlement with Kim in 2023 over the sex tape, which prohibited him from speaking about the tape. He said they broke the deal by talking about the tape of their Hulu reality show, The Kardashians. He accused Kim and Jenner of defrauding him with their actions.
Ray J added: “I don’t want my children to grow up being exposed to a false and damaging portrayal of their father as a pornographic figure rather than a parent, a professional and a human being. »
In the docs, Ray J also admitted to using ChatGPT to help him with the lawsuit, saying it “reinforced” his beliefs.
A judge has yet to rule on the matter.
