Ukraine faces extremely difficult challenges as it comes under pressure from Washington to accept the terms of a peace deal with Russia, FRANCE 24’s Douglas Herbert said in an analysis. “The sticking point here is the so-called security guarantees,” Herbert said, pointing to vague promises made towards Ukraine in the event of another Russian invasion. “It’s not clear what they actually mean, who will be able to provide them and how,” he added.
