Janice admits that her son Sean “made mistakes” and highlights his childhood trauma

Sean’s mother “Diddy” Combs pleads for the leniency while the Disgrace music magnate awaits condemnation.

According to Page sixJanice Combs wrote a letter to judge Arun Subramanian as part of a memorandum of determining the sentence, urging compassion while his son risks up to 20 years in prison after his conviction in September 2024.

Diddy was found guilty of two heads of transportation to engage in prostitution, but was acquitted the most serious accusations of sexual traffic and racketeering. He has been detained in the Brooklyn metropolitan detention center since his arrest and could serve for several years.

In her letter, Janice admitted her son’s faults but also shared the pain behind them.

“He made terrible mistakes in his life, which I know he recognizes,” she wrote. She described her early trauma, in particular by losing her father at only two years old and her uncle at nine.

Janice, who is 85 years old in December, expressed her sorrow at separation.

“This separation in the past year while Sean has been incarcerated was excruciatingly difficult and painful for me and his children. I would like to spend the last years of my life with my son, Sean. ”

The memo of determining the sentence also included dozens of letters from children and supporters of Diddy, his lawyers asking for less than 14 months.

The founder of Bad Boy Record will receive his conviction on October 3.
