Scarlett Johansson set to play iconic role in ‘Tangled’ remake

Tangled The live-action remake has received the green light from Disney and has begun moving forward in the casting process.

After production ceased in April, Michael Gracey, the director of The greatest showmanis tasked with directing the remake of the 2010 Disney classic.

Although casting has not yet begun, Scarlett Johansson is set to play the role of Mother Gothel, Rapunzel’s villainous kidnapper, originally voiced by Donna Murphy.

The hit film follows the story of Princess Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore), who has long, magical blonde hair, escapes from her isolated tower with the help of an outlaw, Flynn Rider (voiced by Zachary Levi).

Since the release of Tangledanimated film has two spin-offs, short film 2021 Entangled forever and the 2017 TV series Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.

The film was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. I see the light.

Previously, on its 10th anniversary, Moore and Levi reunited in a video for Walt Disney Animation Studios.

“It was a great pleasure and joy,” Moore said. “As Zach has said many times, this is an opportunity and an unforgettable experience, one that I will never forget. It’s just endless gratitude for all the support people have given the film over the years.”

“Thank you for believing in the film then, for continuing to believe in it now. For sharing it, for being excited about it,” Levi said.
