Sarah Juree was ‘suicidal’ after being fired over OnlyFans

Sarah Juree‘s life was turned upside down when she launched her OnlyFans account – and was quickly fired from her teaching job.
“Sometimes in life you have to take your mess and turn it into a message and say, ‘OK, that was messed up. » I was very suicidal. I really almost killed myself,” Juree, 44, shared exclusively with Us every week while promoting his new book, Diary of an OnlyFans Model.
Initially, Juree was “just a struggling single mom” and had the idea to launch her OnlyFans career as a way to make extra money while raising her twins.
“There was a woman in town, she started a page and she made about $10,000 in a month,” Juree said. “So in my mind I was like, ‘Well, what if I try this over summer break and see how it goes?’ I had never been on the platform. I really didn’t know much, nothing about it. I thought, “Well, if I could have two good months like that, I could pay off my credit card debt.” »
Within weeks, Juree shared a NSFW photo that was quickly “scattered” across social media and sent to her employer – reportedly leading to her firing.
“It happened very, very quickly,” she said. “It was such a whirlwind. There was a lot of heartbreak for me because I loved being a teacher. It was my identity, it was the career that I had dedicated my life to. I was a teacher for 20 years. It was a whirlwind, and I think that’s why I needed to take a step back from OnlyFans. I took the last two years off to really heal and process and sort through, like, ‘What happened ?”
While suffering from PTSD and suicidal thoughts after the incident, Juree explained that she reached a point where she decided she “really [needed] help” and no longer wanted to “continue living in this fight and flight”. She turned to ketamine therapy as a means of healing and the words began to “gush” out of her, resulting in her new book.
“I think it shows people that your story isn’t over,” she said of her journey to becoming an author. “You literally become the author of your story. You show the world who you are, and at any moment, you can give that world a plot twist. So now it’s like, ‘Professor turned OnlyFans model turned author.'”
In her own community, Juree noted that she still feels like an outsider, but she turns those feelings into empowerment.
“Where I am in Indiana, it’s like I’m the scarlet letter of the town,” she said. “But I take it very personally, because I feel like I can also be permission for women in the city. Women who want to explore their sexuality, who see me and I don’t shy away from that and I don’t just run away in shame.”
