Sandeep Reddy Vanga dismisses rumors about Chiranjeevi’s role in Prabhas-starrer Spirit: Bollywood News
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has finally responded to the swirling rumors about megastar Chiranjeevi’s role in the much-anticipated film. Spiritwith Prabhas. Contrary to social media speculations, Vanga confirmed that Chiranjeevi is not playing Prabhas’ father nor is he acting in the film in any capacity.

In a recent interaction with the Jigris team, Vanga put an end to the prevalent theories by saying, “Chiranjeevi is not playing Prabhas’ father or any role in the film.”
Meanwhile, rumors are also circulating about the inclusion of South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok, better known as Don Lee, as the antagonist. However, Vanga chose not to confirm or deny Lee’s participation, creating intrigue around the identity of the villain.
Spirit presents itself as a high-octane crime action drama, starring Prabhas in a never-before-seen avatar as an intrepid IPS officer who finds himself on remand. The film also stars Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj in key roles. The makers released a unique ‘sound story’ teaser on Prabhas’ birthday, giving fans a captivating audio narrative preview without visuals, generating significant anticipation for the film’s 2026 release.
Chiranjeevi, on the other hand, is set to star in Anil Ravipudi’s film. Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garuscheduled for release next year.
