Samsung published its first intelligent ring focused on fitness last year, adding laptops to its stable which is mainly composed of smart watches. The company now seeks to strengthen its range with new laptops in different shape factors, such as glasses, earrings and necklaces, CNN reported.
Won-Joon Choi, COO of the Samsung mobile experienced division, told CNN that the company wanted to explore form factors that allow users to communicate and do things without needing their phone.
“We think it should be portable, something you shouldn’t wear, (that) you don’t need to wear. So that could be something you wear, glasses, earrings, watches, rings and sometimes (a) a necklace,” said CNN Choi.
Earlier this year, Samsung said that he was building smart glasses with Google, and in May, Korea Economic Daily reported that the company was working on an advanced micro -microisplay for AR glasses.
