After months of preparation, Salman Khan is ready to enter the place of a real hero for his next film, Battle of Galwan. The project, inspired by the chapter on Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu by Shiv Aroor and the acclaimed book by Rahul Singh The most intrepid of India 3 (2022), should start production in early August.

According to a midday report, the actor will start to shoot at the Mumbai Mehboob studio during the first week of August. A set of keys reproducing locations under construction and should be completed at the end of July. According to a source close to production, the Mumbai calendar will mainly focus on the first segments of character construction.
“The shooting of the Mehboob studio is essential because it captures the background and the personal moments of the protagonist before the action degenerates,” said the source said. “The production design team worked tirelessly to create a detailed and immersive set that reflects the parameter with authenticity.”
After the calendar of studios of 10 to 12 days, the unit will move to Ladakh, where the more demanding physical part of the film will be shot. An initiate of unit revealed that the next outdoor calendar includes combat sequences, night filming and simulated battle scenes in the high altitude ground. “The Ladakh leg will be difficult,” noted the initiate. “Salman has been preparing since May, undergoing physical training and familiar with military combat requirements for the role.”
It should be noted that this happens a few days after Bollywood Hungama reported that Battle of Galwan will not be released on Eid 2026.
