The Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan found itself in the middle of a social media storm after having published a brief comment on the Indian-Pakistani ceasefire announced on Saturday evening by US President Donald Trump. The actor, who had remained significantly silent during the military response of India – Operation Sindoor – in the terrorist attack of Pahalgam, tweeted on the ceasefire shortly after the announcement. However, the tweet has aroused strong criticism from Internet users, forcing Khan to remove the position shortly after.

In recent days, several eminent Bollywood celebrities have openly expressed their support for the Indian armed forces and sentenced the terrorist attack in the Pahalgam region of Jammu-et-Cachemire. Meanwhile, in disturbing development, reports suggest that Pakistan has already violated the ceasefire in the hours after its announcement. New attacks would have been carried out in certain Indian regions late Saturday evening, leaving the furious and disappointed citizens of the violation of confidence.
