They have passed the required standards that have been set up. I have heard nothing beyond,” he said.
Agarkar also discussed the unusual situation of Rohit and Kohli playing only one format. “These are two truly experienced guys that have been around for a long time. They will find it really weird to play a single format. You should ask them. This does not happen too many times,” he noted, stressing the faith of the board of directors in their continuous value for the team.

Gill, 26, who already directs India in tests, will now be captain both of ODIs and tests while being vice-captain in T20is under Suryakumar Yadav. “It is practically impossible to have three different captains for three formats in terms of planning … We will surely start to plan the ODI World Cup.
