Rob Reiner’s daughter, Tracy Reiner, has released a statement following the tragic passing of her father and his wife Michele Reiner.
Addressing the NBC NewsRob Reiner’s adopted daughter from his marriage to ex-wife Penny Marshall, said she had just seen her father the day before for a family reunion.
An emotional Tracy Reiner said: “I come from the greatest family ever. I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”
Reiner and Michele were found dead in their Los Angeles mansion with what appear to be stab wounds, US media reported on Sunday.
According to the AFPthe American director and his wife were found dead in their mansion in southern California.

THE BNC Media reports later cited a source close to the family as saying the couple had been found dead from what appeared to be stab wounds.
Diffuser CNN reported that a family spokesperson confirmed that Reiner and his wife had died.
Los Angeles police have not confirmed the identity of the deceased, but said detectives are investigating a death.
“No one has been arrested. No one has been questioned as a suspect,” LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said.
“I am not going to confirm whether anyone is being questioned or not at this time. We will try to speak to every family member possible to get the facts of this investigation,” he added.
