Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left ankle sprain and will be out at least three weeks, according to multiple reports.

Zubac was injured during the first half of the Clippers’ 103-88 victory over the rival Lakers on Saturday. He limped off the field and did not return from the locker room.

Zubac, 28, has been the Clippers’ starting center for most of the past seven years. In 498 career games for the franchise (456 starts), he averaged 11.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

Zubac hasn’t missed much time due to injury in recent years. He has played in 80 of a possible 82 games in 2024-25 and has topped 70 games in five of the last six seasons.

In 28 games (all starts) this season, Zubac averaged 15.6 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He was selected to the All-Defensive Second Team last year, thanks in part to his career-high 12.6 rebounds per game.
