Report: Apple has developed an internal Chatppt type tool to test SIRI functionalities

What if Apple developed its own version of Chatgpt, but never let you use it? This is perhaps what is happening with Veritas, the name reported of an internally published iPhone application to test new features for Siri, its virtual personal assistant. In a report by Bloomberg technological journalist, Mark Gurman, the largest technological company in the world has developed and published an application resembling OPENAI Chatgpt to employees as part of its current Réconta Siri.

A representative for Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
(Disclosure: Ziff Davis, CNET’s parent company in April, filed a complaint against Openai, alleging that it has violated Ziff Davis Copyrights in the training and exploitation of its AI systems.)

Siri has been due to an upgrade for some time, but it was delayed in spring 2026. There were even rumors that Apple could use Google’s Gemini AI technology to strengthen Siri’s capacities.
Veritas (Latin for “Truth”) is used to test Siri features, such as using AI to carry out advanced research on emails or songs and to carry out actions such as photo modification, indicates the report. Veritas apparently takes several conversations that can be continued over time, similar to Chatgpt.
Apple had a hard time following the IA industry in a quick motion. Users have a dull response to its Apple Intelligence features, and the delays in the upgrade of Siri, who at some point on the pack on voice assistants, has not helped. There are still useful AI features on Apple’s platforms, but they have not drawn as much attention as those of rivals such as Openai, Google and Meta.
