Reddit now supports the translation of messages and comments in Hindi

In order to expand its user base in India, Reddit has updated its automatic translation function to support automatic translation of publications and comments in Hindi.
“With this expansion, authentic content and more fueled by people is now accessible in one of the most spoken languages in India,” wrote the company in an update of a blog article. Reddit said it would also add support to Bengali.
Reddit began to test the automatic translation function at the site scale last May, starting with French. In September, the company launched functionality in more than 35 countries and added support for Spanish and Portuguese.
Earlier this month, the company deployed its research functionality fueled by AI, Answers, users in India, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore and the United Kingdom, the functionality was only available for a limited number of English-speaking users in the United States
India remains a big goal for the social platform. The company has hired several people in India in community construction, growth, legal and engineering positions, and actively hires people in community content and roles.
