Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 winners Royal Challengers Bengaluru entered the WPL 2026 mega auction after retaining their core group, which included Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Ellyse Perry and Shreyanka Patil.With most of their core secured, RCB retained key names such as Mandhana, Ghosh and Perry as they aimed for a second WPL title. After its first championship in 2024, the team had a difficult 2025 season. Looking to recover, the team led by Mandhana strived to put together a balanced and competitive team. They entered the auction with Rs 6.15 crore remaining after shortlisting four players.In the WPL 2026 mega auction, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) added players including Lauren Bell, Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy and Grace Harris. They had a purse of Rs 6.15 crore for the auction, having already spent a lot of money to retain their core group for the upcoming season.
