Ranking each worst match at the best

The WWE Night of Champions offered a high -end live event with all its fans of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The PLE consisted of six games on the map and witnessed a big change of title as well as the winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

While each superstar did its best to fight a big fight, some games shone more than others. Here are three of the best and three of the worst games that fans have seen the night of the Champions.

# 3 Best: Cody Rhodes won the King of the Ring 2025 tournament

The last round of the King of the Ring 2025 tournament saw Cody Rhodes compete with Randy Orton. The two brought a rich story of friendship and rivalry to the ring, covering their intertwined professional wrestling careers. The two former members of the inheritance were determined to obtain the victory to get a gunshot in the undisputed WWE championship, in particular because of its current holder, John Cena.

The Viper had won a solid outdoor RKO of the American nightmare in the last moments of the match. However, he failed to do the work. This made Randy Orton exhibited one of the corner needles in despair of despair. However, he could not use it and ended up hitting the exposed steel ribs himself. Cody Rhodes followed with a cross Rhodes to win the match and become the 24th winner of Kotr.

The match saw the two wrestlers push each other at their limits. Aside from the exchange of blows, this fight also led solid narrative elements, in particular given the use by Orton of sneaky means to win the match. The American nightmare thanked him later and congratulated him as the future temple of WWE renown.

However, the Viper did not seem to knock at home, and the 14 times world champion looked very upset. After all, it was the second consecutive year when he finished as a finalist in the King of the Ring tournament, with his defeat in 2024 in Gunther’s hand. Thus, this match easily made one of the best of the night.

# 3 worst: Karrion Kross vs Sami Zayn has not added a lot of value

Karrion Kross finally had the chance to get into the ring with Sami Zayn after having haunted him and played in mind games for months. The Canadian agreed to blow with the former final leader of the will after his defeat in the Kotr semi-finals against Randy Orton.

None of the former NXT champions retained themselves, and both won their key movements to turn the trend on several occasions. Whenever Karrion Kross had the upper hand, he also launched verbal attacks to Sami Zayn, who was in accordance with his character.

Despite this, the match did not feel like having a full value. He could easily have been fought in a regular episode of WWE Raw, especially since Kross has not acquired any scenario of the progression of the meeting.

Instead of moving it towards its dark side, this match made the OG line member made more determined to remain babyface longer, especially when he won in front of the crowd of Saudi Arabia, who loves Zayn.

This could also be a reason why this match was added to the Ple final card, and Triple H may have tried to capitalize on Riyadh’s love for the Canadian. The quadruple intercontinental champion received a massive pop, and the keffiyeh he put on when he entered the fans. Apart from that, the match did not serve any other objective.

# 2 Best: Solo Sikoa has experienced an unofficial winning experience – Everything

Solo Sikoa beat Jacob Fatu to win the United States championship at WWE Night of Champions. While the Samoan werewolf had a sharper advantage against its opponent throughout the match, Sikoa stole the American title due to a Return Loa Tonga and a Hikuleo who made his debut. Thus, the street champion used his capacity to increase the number of supporters just when the iron was hot.

Hikuleo made a last -minute backup for the new leader of Bloodline and Jacob Fatuslamed Jacob Fatu on the announcement table. He then brought back the Samoan wolf in the ring, where Sikoa won a Samoan point to finish things. With this, Rikishi’s son won his very first WWE main list title.

In addition, apart from the United States championship, he also has an iron faction by his side. Thus, Sikoa will now be able to reconstruct its domination of Smackdown since its loss during the civil war of the line of survivors of 2024: Wargames. With two additions, one of which is an imposing giant of 6’8 ”, Hikuleo, Sikoa really won everything the night of the Champions.

# 2 Pire: Rhea Ripley against Raquel Rodriguez did not belong to the card of WWE Night of Champions

WWE generally sticks to five or less games in each live premium event. If a match looked like a point, it was certainly the meeting between Rhea Ripley and Rodriguez. The two large women landed several powerful shots and took full advantage of all the weapons at their disposal during the street combat configuration.

Despite this, the match seemed to be a vestige addition due to the lack of promotional work and scenario that is put there. A Ple match should have been a turning point or a culmination for this fresh quarrel between Mami and Big Mami Cool. However, it seemed to be a control point in this development quarrel.

Roxanne Perez interfered in the match to help the WWE women’s team champion. However, the eraser was ready this time and managed to win the match despite the double involvement of the NXT female champion. Although a victory for Rodriguez would have indicated stronger ties between her and Roxy, it remains to be seen where the scenario is heading after the Australian ended up winning the street fight.

# 1 Best: John Cena and CM Punk gave an excellent end to their WWE rivalry

The main event of WWE Night of Champions saw John Cena putting the undisputed championship at stake against CM Punk. The emblematic rivals had built a lot of media threshing for this fight while Cena stole the famous promo of Punk pipebomb. In response, the second city of Saint stolen the franchise player’s rap gadget and nicknamed the `Doctor of Punkanomics ”, dissolving the undisputed champion of the episode of the House of Smackdown.

Their meeting in Riyadh surprisingly saw the last real champion dominates the flow of the match. Just when CM Punk was able to guarantee a victory, Seth Rollins and his crew interfered while the referee was eliminated. The men of the visionary, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, faced the resistance of Sami Zayn and Penta, who put a bump in the plans of Rollins.

Presenting his domination as a larger heel, John Cena withdrew the official whom the architect had brought with him to prevent Mr. Money from the bank from collecting his contract. In addition, Cena and Punk even joined for a while to deposit Bronson Reed. The truce did not last long while the franchise player tried to slyly blow the second saint of the city while highlighting a handful.

Seeing through the cheap tip, the right edge superstar blocked the low blow and almost won a GTS. However, Rollins attacked her with his MITB case and released it with a sidewalk section. The undisputed WWE champion quickly threw the visionary out of the ring to pin his challenger and keep his title.

Aside from the action with high issues, this match has now permanently sealed the head-to-head record between Cena and punk at 7-6. Thus, while the right on -board superstar stolen its rap gadget, Cena will always pretend to have the last drop of micro to WWE Night of Champions.

# 1 worst: Asuka should have become the queen of the ring

The last round of the WWE Queen of the Ring 2025 tournament saw Jade Cargill win against Asuka. The empress of tomorrow was making a good wave of return after putting an end to her one -year injury hiatus to enter Qotr. However, the storm has torn off its momentum to win the crown and will now head to Summerslam to face Tiffany Stratton for the WWE women’s championship.

With this, Triple H and his team have chosen to make Cargill and Stratton Clash, with Ms. Money in the Bank, Naomi, imminent as a constant threat. But that sacrificed the scenario where Asuka could have faced her former damage Ctrl Ally, Iyo Sky. WWE also teased a future quarrel between the two Japanese stars in a raw segment before Night of Champions.

Jade Cargill could have easily started a biological quarrel with the Barbie buff, given their history in recent months. The same cannot be said about the empress of tomorrow, which has just made a return of WWE. This also leaves Iyo Sky without a credible opponent for Summerslam, because Rhea Ripley is currently arguing with Rodriguez.

The match had no problem, and the storm gently converted an impact on the Empress into a jaded to win the match. However, given the current scenarios, WWE now has some shortcomings to fill for the women’s world champion Iyo Sky. It will be interesting to see how Triple H and his team will accumulate for the next season of Summerslam.
