Ranking 30 MLB jersey advertisements: what teams do things correctly (and which has massacred their uniforms)
In a random night to look at baseball, I noticed a jersey advertisement which was so terrible that it made me think: How bad are the announcements on each team’s jerseys?
After crossing the uniforms, I broke each team in levels. If two teams are in the same level, I generally classified them too, but I did my best to try to order them.
Tier 1: no advertising
This level has two teams, and they have no advertisements – so they are better than everyone. In addition, the two teams have very good jerseys by themselves, so I classified them Tampa, then Chicago, but it was near.
Very well mixed: matching colors
Yankees
It hurts me to say it, but it’s the perfect announcement. It is small, mixes perfectly and does not remove the fine classic stripes.
Cardinal
Shocker – A large organization like cardinals has an excellent advertisement of ads. Small, corresponds and is based directly in their jerseys.
Put
The following two jerseys are launchers because their ads change colors with their uniforms. I just like how the Mets ad takes less space than the announcement of the Marlins.
Marlins
Pretty blue colors.
Giant
This announcement is swinging. If it was smaller, it could easily be number one. I love that Chevy has twisted their logo to seem well here. One of the cleanest announcements in the league.
Riders
These next two have the right colors, but I don’t like the ad. This logo is simply too large.
Tigers
I love that Meijer has changed their colors to match, but unfortunately, I think that the logo looks madly. I hate saying this about my favorite grocery store.
Tier 2: The colors are quite close
Pirates
It could easily be higher if it really had assorted colors; However, the Red Sheetz logo goes with the red of the Pirate Bandana, and it works.
Guards
Overall, this is the norm for OK Jersey advertisements. It’s a bit big, but it flows very well with the jerseys of the new goalkeepers.
Red Sox
Boston and Cleveland were a virtual tie for me, because I think the two teams have logos that throw themselves well with their jerseys but are not perfect.
Brewers
Brewers do all the right things, but I think dark blue can be so distracting on most of their jerseys. However, I appreciate the smallest logo and the corresponding color palette.
Nationals
AARP is such a passable announcement. I just think that the police of their logo do not mix well with the police on their jersey, but apart from that, it is a decent announcement.
Rangers
These colors are not an excellent match, but I think that the energy transfer has a fairly sick logo, so that makes a lot of heavy lifting here.
Angels
FBM has a fairly sweet logo, but the Green on the Angels logo is a few points. Red framing the hatch of being at a lower level.
Parents
From now on, I think most of these advertisements are not excellent. The Motorola logo occupies so much jersey space. However, this is not the worst appearance for Motorola on this list.
Phillies
I don’t hate this one. I like blue in IBX a bit, but it’s always a distracting announcement.
Astros
Oxy makes a very good color match, but it is one of the biggest logos in the league, and for that, it arrives at number 19.
Cubs
The paadres made Motorola much better than the cubs. The giant m ruins a classic uniform.
Rocky
York Space Systems is almost bad colors, and it is quite large, so it becomes the bottom of level 2.
Tier 3: bad color but not the worst
Diamonds
The Avnet logo is massive and bad colors, but their logo looks a bit like the Diamondbacks logo, which puts it at the top of level 3.
Red
I think the Kroger logo is quite clean, but it is simply the bad colors.
Twins
Another good logo, but it’s green. If they had just removed this, they could easily be in the top 15.
Orioles
We have reached the very bad territory. A Blue T. Rowe Price logo is simply ugly.
Sailors
Nintendo has a soft logo. This is the only reason why it is not at level 4 – because if it was not a soft brand, it would be at the bottom.
Level 4: Nothing buyout
Royals
Ah yes, a bright red quiktrip logo on the Blue Royals jersey. Just a putrid announcement.
Brave
Unlike the Red Sheetz Pirates logo, yellow here does not work. In addition, the Quikrete logo looks so cheap.
Blue Jays
The bright green TD logo is simply the worst Ligue logo. It’s massive, bad colors, and could not be worse on the jersey of Jays Blue, which is normally an impressive uniform.
Tier 5: A
The homeless team advertises a city that does not want them to move there. John Fisher, you are the worst – and your lame logo completes our jersey ranking.
