Punjab launches the free insulin program for diabetic children

Lahore: to facilitate young children suffering from type I congenital diabetes, the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, officially launched “CM Insulin for Diabetes”, a free insulin program.

CM Maryam and Pakistan Post Riders have reached the residences of young children to put the cards to insulin. She also gave insulin, BSR glucomence bands and a box of needles to diabetic children.

While speaking to members of the family of a diabetic patient, the chief minister said that she felt more worried and worried about the health of their children.

She added: “I can understand the pain and anxiety of children with diabetes. The free insulin program for young children has been launched on the real request of poor parents and the disastrous needs of children. ”

According to the vision of “Sehatmand Punjab”, the government will contact each child who cannot afford to buy medicines or insulin, she added.

She stressed: “Children’s health is above all important for the Punjab government. For the first time, children receive gluomaria and test strips with insulin. Children are the brilliant future of the nation and all resources are placed at their disposal. The rapid spread of diabetes in children is a matter of serious concern. “

The chief minister was informed in a briefing on the insulin cards program in which during the first phase, 1,500 children will receive insulin at their door as part of the free insulin program.

The runners of Pakistan post will check the insulin card by scaning on a special application. After undergoing a process of sweeping the insulin CM card, insulin will be given to the patients.

He was also informed in the briefing by virtue of the Pakistan Post cold chain system, riders will become door to door and provide insulin required for three months to children with type I diabetes.
