Pressure on Daniel Farke with attacking manager ‘available’ for Leeds move
Leeds United have been linked with creating an unemployed manager as their next boss and a new update has been released regarding the situation, amid doubts over Daniel Farke’s future.
The Whites currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, with four defeats in their last five matches in the competition, which has seen pressure increase on Farke and Marco Rose linked to his replacement.
That said, Aerial sportsZinny Boswell recently played down rumors that Farke would soon be relieved of his duties, even though a tough run of matches looms.
“Leeds have no plans to change head coach amid growing discontent among supporters and, having taken 11 points from 11 Premier League games, the club and Farke believe the team is currently on course to achieve their survival target.
“Located one point above the relegation zone, Leeds have the Premier League’s toughest schedule for the next five matches, according to Opta, with Aston Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool visiting Elland Road as well as trips to Manchester City and Brentford. The fact that Farke is scheduled for broadcast interviews next week is as strong an indication as any that he will be in the hot seat for at least some of these matches and, while it is a daunting ride, there is a belief internally that the Elland Road factor is reason for optimism.
Rodgers ‘available’ linked with Farke replacement at Leeds
Now speaking to Leeds United Newsjournalist Graeme Bailey has tipped Brendan Rodgers as the next Leeds boss, saying he could be a solid option, which “pipes up the pressure” on Farke.
“Leeds are not ready to pull the plug. From what I hear, they are no longer where they hoped to be, but they are OK with where they are at the moment. It wasn’t a great performance at Forest, and the club is aware of that, but they are not panicking. Of course it increases the pressure when you have a manager like Brendan Rodgers available. But nothing has changed and nothing is imminent.”
There is much to admire in Rodgers as a manager, should he become a real option for Leeds, with the 52-year-old winning the FA Cup with Leicester City in 2021 and guiding Celtic to four Scottish Premiership titles, among other trophies.
He is an attack-minded manager, famous for playing good 4-3-3 football, and he has plenty of experience in the Premier League, even coming close to winning the title with Liverpool in 2013/14, entertaining the masses and getting the best out of Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard.
That said, it doesn’t look like the 49ers Enterprises are going to rush to make a decision with Farke right now, but the situation could change if they struggle in these upcoming tough games.
