President of the dishes: Director Carlos Mendoza will return in ’26

Carlos Mendoza will return next season while the New York Diet manager, president of baseball operations, David Stearns, confirmed on Tuesday.
“Oh yeah, Mendy does a great job,” Stearns told “The Show” Podcast. “I think he is the right person for this work.”
Mendoza, 46, is in his second season as a manager – a barrier from the last three managers has not crossed.
Terry Collins (2011-17) was the most recent manager to last more than two seasons. It was followed by Mickey Callaway (2018-19), Luis Rojas (2020-21) and Buck Showalter (2022-23).
During his first season in 2024, Mendoza led the food to a file of 89-73. They lost against the Los Angeles dodgers in the national league championship series in six games.
This season, the dishes are 70-61 and second in the East National League, six games behind the Philadelphia Phillies. They hang on to the third and last Wild Card, 2 1/2 games in front of the Reds of Cincinnati coming into play on Tuesday.
On August 2, the dishes were half a game at the head of the Phillies, but disappeared from 7-13 since the drop in pace. Philadelphia has a 14-7 sheet in this period.
The dishes welcome the phillies in the second match of a three-game series on Tuesday after winning the 13-3 opening.
