Meghan Markle and Prince Harry enjoy a World Series date night

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex put their troubles behind them to support the Los Angeles Dodgers in their game on Tuesday, October 28. Their MLB date follows their family’s visit to a pumpkin patch.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared in good spirits, seemingly unfazed by the loss of their communications director just four months after she joined their team.

The Sussexes attended Game 4 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays. They proudly supported the Dodgers, donning the team’s iconic blue baseball caps while sitting in the front row at Dodger Stadium.

Meghan and Harry also wore matching white tops and blue overcoats, as seen in photos shared by Page Six. They were photographed watching the match intently, standing up to applaud and even interacting with fans seated behind them.

Before the match, Sussex interacted with supporters before entering the stadium. MLB shared a clip on X from the moment, showing Meghan and Harry waving and greeting people as they entered the room with bright smiles.

The video received mixed reactions: Some fans applauded Meghan and Harry for their support of the Dodgers, while others were disappointed. Critics have argued that the Sussexes, particularly the Duke, should not have supported an American team as senior royals.

“I have a problem with the British Royals going against one of their Commonwealth members. It’s a bad look. He should wear a Blue Jays cap to make up for his Dodgers cap,” someone pointed out. Another agreed, writing:

“They should represent the Jays. She’s a Commonwealth prince and she started her career in Toronto. Too bad.”

On the other hand, Dodgers fans were happy to have the support of the Sussexes. “The Royals are going full Dodger blue! If Harry throws the first pitch I call him World Series MVP,” chimed in one fan. Another fan called them the “sexiest royals” and hoped their presence would help the Dodgers win.

While fans were divided over Harry and Meghan’s appearance at the match, some commenters wondered why their children were absent. These fans thought the Sussexes should make memories as a family.

Robinson’s sudden departure has sparked renewed scrutiny of the Sussexes’ operational system, which lost four staff in June. Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich weighed in on the recent outing, noting that it suggested Meghan Markle’s “ambition to reshape her public image with a polished team was a failure.”

“The optics are appalling because they reinforce, at best, the negative image of chaotic brand control, as well as Meghan’s waning influence,” Fordwich said. He added that it was unusual for communications directors to resign shortly after their employment.
