Kelly Rowland set on fire by fans after forgetting lyrics during Brandy tour

The child of destiny alum Kelly Rowland is being roasted by fans online after apparently forgetting the lyrics to one of the group’s most beloved songs during a recent performance! The 44-year-old is currently opening for Brandy and Monica during their highly publicized “The Boy Is Mine Tour”. While her debut performance was praised, Rowland’s set in Indianapolis featured sloppy lyrics and questionable vocals, sparking concerns about the quality of the tour, especially just hours after Brandy abruptly left the stage during her own set in Chicago.

In a post shared by @TheNeighborhoodTalk on Instagram, Rowland can be seen onstage at the “Boy Is Mine” tour, asking the audience to help her with the lyrics to her verse in Destiny’s Child’s hit, “Cater 2 U.”

As the instrument played, Rowland laughed with the audience before attempting to get back on track; however, clips on social media show she struggled to get through the rest of the song with a high-pitched vocal, leaving the crowd stunned.

In one clip, a participant could be heard saying, “Oops, she forgot her verse!” »

And it wasn’t just the public who had critical comments, as social media users also shared their thoughts on the fiasco, accusing Rowland of being unprepared.

While several users joked about the moment, insisting that Rowland wouldn’t have fumbled over her role if Beyoncé had been on stage, others were harsher in their criticism, lambasting the “Voice” alum and accusing her of not taking her job seriously.

As previously reported by The Blast, Brandy left the stage mid-song after admitting to having difficulty with her voice. A video shows the 46-year-old singing to the crowd before turning around and leaving the stage, leading several netizens to criticize the “Moesha” star’s professionalism.

“That was seriously unprofessional and regardless of how polished the song was. I love Brandy, but come on Queen, you’ve been in the game too long to act like that,” one fan wrote.

Several hours later, Brandy addressed the incident with a lengthy social media post and told her fans that she left the stage after experiencing “dehydration and feeling like I wanted to pass out.”

Before Rowland joined Brandy and Monica’s tour, the singer and mother of two reunited with her Destiny’s Child bandmates on the final night of Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour, singing hits “Bootylicious” and “Lose My Breath.”

The trio took the stage in matching gold ensembles and strutted down the catwalk, interacting with thousands of loyal fans at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The last time the group performed together was in 2018 during Beyoncé’s historic Coachella performance, where they sang “Soldier” and “Say My Name.”
