Instead, the studios burn money to restart a flaccid IP from the 1980s, they should put this money in better funded horror images. I could enter one of the reasons why the horror is so hot in 2025, but I am sure that it would mean that the high sheriffs would be hogtie and would gag me. Regardless of something more topical, horror is also a genre that people want to live in a movie theater with others. They want to be afraid as a collective experience. This is part of Catharsis: knowing others is as afraid as you. You are not alone in the dark. This feeling is something that people have to feel right now, and the safest way to experience that is seated in a dark room with strangers and being afraid by a light show on the wall of the cave.
Horror is there to stay and it could be big business and repeat if the studios were starting to give her the attention, the money and the distinctions she deserves.
