Charles Leclerc amazed Oscar Pitri from McLaren and Lando Norris with the first pole position of Ferrari of the season at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Leclerc stung Piastri 0.026 s to upset McLaren, who was to lock the first row and dominate the qualifications in Budapest.
Norris was only 0.041 s out of the pole foam while the McLarens struggled with a change in the direction of the wind during the third quarter which opened the door to their rivals.

Red Bull Yuki Tsunoda was eliminated in the first quarter for the fifth time this season and Kimi Antonelli from Mercedes had another disappointing Saturday in 15th.

Piastri and Norris dominated the procedures until the last part of the qualification, after having exceeded the three training sessions, plus T1 and T1.
They were the first and second after the first third trimester traces, despite the two drivers scoring visibly behind the wheel in the corners, with Piastri in front of Norris.
Alonso provided the McLaren pair with a warning by finishing its last round early and second, then Leclerc stole the pole position of Piastri.

“It was difficult for us to go to the second trimester, it was difficult for us to go to the third trimester! In Q3, the conditions changed a little. Everything became much more difficult, and I knew that I just had to take a clean tour to target the third.
“In the end, it’s pole position. I certainly didn’t expect it.”
Russell was only a little more than half of an even more shocking post for Mercedes for a weekend, they returned to their old suspension.
Alonso was only 0.109 s of the pole also in fifth, stressing the proximity of the land in Budapest where the rain scheduled for Sunday could deposit more drama.
Verstappen had his worst qualification of the year in eighth but succeeded better than his teammate Tsunoda, who will start 16th after having expressed his frustration with the car throughout Saturday.

Hamilton missed the top 10 of only 0.015 and said “each time” on the radio when he was informed of his elimination.
He said later Sky Sports F1: “It’s me every time. I am useless, absolutely useless.
“The team has no problem. You saw the car on the post. So they probably need to change drivers.”
Hamilton is a Pole-Gardien nine times in Hungary and has won the race eight times. Earlier this week, he revealed that “there will be tears” during the F1 summer holidays, which begins after Sunday race.
“The last God knows how many seasons has been difficult in their own way. He has certainly been the most intense, I would say, just from a work point of view,” he said.
“Integrating into a new culture and a new team. It did not go well in all areas, and it was a real battle.
“I really need to escape and recharge myself, to be with children, to laugh, to let go. I’m sure there will be tears at some point and I think it’s really healthy.”
