Pierre Gasly signs an extension of the contract with Alpine

Formula 1 pilot, Pierre Gasly, signed an extension of contract with Alpine throughout the 2028 season, the organization announced on Saturday.

The financial conditions were not disclosed for Gasly, who signed a multi-year extension with Alpine on June 27, 2024. The terms of this agreement were not revealed other than for “2025 and beyond”.

“I am delighted to commit my long -term future in Alpine,” Gasly said in a statement. “As French, in particular, leading for a French automotive company, makes me very proud. Since I joined in 2023, I have always felt that this team is the right place to be for the future.

“I want to be here in the years to come and deliver our joint goal: to win races and world championships. We are all in the same way and I can’t wait to continue this special story.”

Gasly, 29, recorded two of her five podiums with Alpine. Its best finish this season was sixth place in Silverstone in July.

“We are well prepared for the new era of Formula 1, from 2026, and now we have confirmed our main driver to bring us well in the future,” said Flavio Briatore, Alpine Executive Advisor.

“Pierre was a huge asset for the team during this difficult period,” added Briatore. “I was very impressed by his attitude, his dedication and his talent and we are impatient to continue this project together for a long time.”
