Phillies continue a scan of four rock games

The Philadelphia Phillies have already won their fourth consecutive victory in the road series, and they can win a scan against Colorado rockies on Thursday afternoon.
Philadelphia will send the Ranger du Gaucher Suarez (2-0, 5.09 ERA) against the German right-hander of Colorado Marquez (1-6, 8.78) to conclude the series of four games in Denver.
The Phillies won the first three games, including 9-5 Wednesday evening, their sixth consecutive victory in total. Philadelphia won five games on the road and 10 of his last 11 home to move first in the East National League.
Suarez will try to extend the success of the road in its fourth start of the season. He missed the first five weeks while dealing with a back injury and was hardly affected during his beginnings in 2025 against the Arizona Diamondbacks on May 4, granting seven points in 3 2/3 of heats of the 11-9 defeat of his team. His last two outings were much better.
Suarez launched seven laundering rounds against the Cleveland Guardians on May 10, then delivered seven three -point ball handles against Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday, winning the two starts. In six career outings (five starts) against Colorado, it is 2-1 with an MPM of 2.91.
If Suarez can get the same racing medium that the other starters of the phillies have received in this series, it will not need to be at its best. Philadelphia has 25 points and 46 strokes in three games against Colorado, and Kyle Schwarber gave the pace.
The designated striker dominated in the first two games in the series, then walked twice and scored twice on Wednesday. He is tied with the Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers for the head of the major league with 17 circuits.
“I now see him as a full striker,” said Philadelphia manager Rob Thomson. “He has great power, but he was really impressive overall.”
The Colorado continues to fight almost two months after the start of the season. The rocks lost four games in a row and have been 1-8 since the acting manager Warren Schaeffer, took over for the Bud Black licensed. Their starters have only four of the team’s eight victories this season, Marquez winning the last victory on May 11 against the Padres of San Diego, 9-3.
Thursday will be his 10th start to the season, which doubles its total previous years combined. It will also be his second release against the Phillies in 2025; He launched six whitening rounds in Philadelphia on March 31.
In nine career beginnings against phillies, Marquez is 3-2 with a 3.31 MPM.
Colorado did not have much to celebrate while compiling a historic record of 8-41, but Brenton Doyle began to warm up in marble. The central defender struck 0.138 from April 16 to Monday, then went 1 for 2 with a double, two ball goals and a stolen base on Tuesday.
He added a single and a walk on Wednesday when he tries to take over the 2024 form which led him to 23 circuits and an average of the stick of .260.
Doyle has a long road to meet these totals this year – it has four circuits and strikes .211 – but it is encouraged by its latest performance.
“I worked quite hard, trying to come back where I was last year,” said Doyle. “The last days have been pretty good.”
