Petrovic sought by six clubs in the middle of “Gentleman’s agreement” with Chelsea

Chelsea could be planned to have substantial interest in a particular player this summer in the middle of a “gentleman agreement” on potential departure.
Djordjeje Petrovic is back in his parent club following his loan to Strasbourg last season, although he is not with the Blues team at the Club World Cup, in which they take Fluminense in the semi-finals this evening.
The Serbian goalkeeper has experienced two regular regular football campaigns in England and France, but he faces an uncertain future because a certain number of contenders are ready to potentially take advantage of it.
Petrovic attracting a lot of interest in the middle of “Gentleman’s agreement” with Chelsea
In the latest transfer of transfer to The Athletic, which was published Tuesday morning, Simon Johnson has provided an update on the things that are currently with the 25 -year -old.
Petrovic is targeted by Sunderland after their promotion in the Premier League and also has the interest of at least five other clubs.
Chelsea has a gentleman agreement in place with the goalkeeper who would allow him to leave for costs of 25 million pounds sterling.
Should Maresca give Petrovic a chance to Chelsea next season?
Petrovic had experienced a prolonged spell in the starting XI of the Blues under Mauricio Pochettino in 2023/24, but if he can dislodge Robert Sanchez in the coming months is another matter.
According to FBREF, the Serbian actually had a better percentage of saving last season than the current number 1 in Chelsea (78.9% to 76.4%), as well as much higher yields for successful success (80.4% to 69.7%) and XG mini-post-shot goals (+9.9 to +1.7).
Its ratio of objectives conceded by 90 minutes was also better significant than Filip Jorgensen (1.23 to 1.5), as is its percentage of economy (the latter recorded 71.4%), which suggests that perhaps Enzo Maresca should give the 25-year-old a good crack of the whip.
However, if it becomes obvious that Petrovic would find it difficult to move Sanchez (who could be very difficult to drop if he helped the Blues win the Club World Cup), then the International Serbia could not be blamed for wanting a place of permanent departure elsewhere.
It seems likely that Chelsea will not lack offers for the Serbus this summer, if one of his many contenders presents a proposal which corresponds or exceeds the above -mentioned figure of 25 million pounds sterling.
