Pete Davidson remembers his first date with Elsie Hewitt

Pete Davidson looks back at the moment he realized he and Elsie Hewitt were meant to be.

The couple, who went public in March 2024 and later announced they were expecting their first child together, briefly returned to social media during a daylong takeover of Bumble’s Instagram Stories on November 18.

There, they explained how quickly things happened between them.

Elsie shared that she had strong instincts from the start. At their first dinner, she told Pete, “Don’t think I’m crazy, but I just know you’re going to be the father of my children.”

Pete remembers feeling the same way, responding at the time: “I know.” Laughing, Elsie pointed to her current pregnancy and said, “And look at us now!”

Pete also recalled another early moment that made him smile. Elsie tried to make their budding relationship fun with a unique suggestion.

“She’s like, ‘I have a standing reservation at an escape room so we can go anytime,'” he joked, adding that her reaction was basically, “Oh, cool, man.”

Now, with a baby on the way, the two are focusing on the new memories they’ll soon make as parents.

Pete said they were particularly excited to “dress the baby exactly like us.”

He has spoken openly about the kind of father he hopes to be, explaining during an August interview on The breakfast club that he can’t wait to “be able to take care of something and show him the childhood I didn’t have.”
