Penn, who is a father to four boys with wife Domino Kirke, reveals that one of his five-year-olds is in a “hybrid homeschool vibe” as the couple prioritizes a play-centered childhood for their sons.
Explaining the reason behind this homeschooling decision, the Easy A The actor says his son isn’t in kindergarten yet and is homeschooled.
“We don’t need to teach these kids as much as we try to teach,” the 39-year-old continues.
Penn notes that reading and math comprehension “is going down because we start too early and so does everyone else.”

“You sometimes hear parents in Park Slope, Brooklyn, talking about their kids in the park, and it’s like God bless them all, seriously, I know we’re all doing the best we can, but the neuroses and the anxiety,” Penn mentions.
Meanwhile, the actor adds that modern parents don’t want their children to stay like children and we don’t know how to deal with them.
