Patrick Schwarzenegger played a big role by helping to plan his marriage for model Abby Champion, and his practical approach did not go unnoticed.
“Quite funny, it’s no longer Patrick’s personality to dive into flowers and small details,” shared Champion, 28 years old, in an interview with Vogue Posted on September 13.
“He helped so much, what I absolutely liked.”
The couple exchanged wishes on September 6 by the shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene en Idaho, celebrating with a simple but elegant ceremony.
Champion explained that they wanted to keep the minimalist day, even with regard to floral arrangements. “”
I was a little terrified by the bees, so I wanted to avoid something too much elaborate, “she said, noting their choice of white roses and hydrangeas.” It turned out to be perfectly. “”
By thinking about the day, champion admitted that he felt surreal.
“I still can’t believe it all is over. Everything stolen from a dream, [and] I am so excited to start this next chapter with Patrick. “”
Schwarzenegger, 31, who is the eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, began to go out with champion in 2016. The pair got engaged in December 2023 after seven years together.
At the time, Patrick revealed to US Weekly That they do not rush into the process, joking earlier this year: “We have not even started. We are slow! I work at the moment, so I’m out of the city for the next song.”
Less than a year later, the couple’s carefully planned celebration met exactly as they hoped, with Patrick actively involved in the life of details.
