Pan Am Legacy Trip takes off with $ 60,000 for passengers

A trip honoring the heritage of Pan American World Airways is underway after a chartered jet carrying the brand of the historic airline went to the sky earlier in the week.
The plane left John F. Kennedy in New York on Tuesday, launching a 12 -day trip that came with a price of around $ 60,000 for its passengers, CBS New York reported.

The trip, describes as “a PAN and private air trip”, is part of a collaboration between Criterion Travel and Bartelings with the licenses of Pan American World Airways.
The operators want to give passengers “the opportunity to relive a” golden age of the trip “on a specially organized program” with the Pan AM Trip, according to a brochure on the Criterion Travel website.

The route of the round trip travel includes stops in places that were on the transatlantic roads in the south and northern Pan Am, notably the Bermuda, Lisbon, Portugal, Marseille, France, London, England and Shannon, Ireland.

The trip uses a Jet Boeing 757-200 with business class seats in Flat.

On -board officers working on the trip will put uniforms that recreate those worn by Pan Am staff when the airline operated, CBS New York reported.

The transatlantic journey was announced for the first time in the summer of last year.
