Pakistan Saad Habib claims its place in the final of the Sri Lanka Amateur Golf Championship

Karachi: Saad Habib Malik of Pakistan reserved his place in the final of the 134th amateur golf championship of Sri Lanka after having beaten Reshan Algama from the host Nation in the semi-finals at the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
Saad closed a 4-UP victory on the 16th hole on Saturday, producing four birdies and a superb eagle on the seventh by 5. Its aggressive shooting and its calm under pressure secured its place in the 36 -hole final.
Earlier in the championship, SAAD delivered one of the exceptional performances of the tournament by upgrading Vivaan Ubhayakar from India in the quarterfinals, sealing a victory in 5-UP on the 14th hole with five Birdies.
The other representative of Pakistan, Nouman Ilyas, could not progress more when he came across the Algama Reshan of Sri Lanka in his confrontation in the quarterfinals.
The final, scheduled for Sunday, will see Habib will face Chanaka Perera from Sri Lanka, who advanced after winning the other semi-final against Schin compatriot of Silva.
The championship match will take place on 36 holes, an endurance and concentration test which should offer a dramatic finish.
