Padres rises the rise of Manny Machado in series against Marlins

If the weekend is an indication, it may be time to make concerns about the number of limited circuits of Manny Machado.
Machado, who completed at least 28 circuits in each of the last nine complete seasons, has entered the ninth round on Friday evening in Atlanta with only three. It was before he launched a winning circuit of Raisel Iglesias, then sealed the 5-3 victory from San Diego Padres against the Braves on Sunday with an eighth round.
The Padres Hope Machado continue to hit the long ball on Monday when they open a series of three games against the Miami marlins visiting.
It is not that Machado was unproductive on the plate. He struck 14 consecutive games earlier this season, the second longest sequence in his career, and Bat .321 with five circuits and 23 points produced. But the lack of circuits had asked for what was wrong.
Machado responded slightly after Friday evening’s match.
“I am on the pace,” he laughs, reminding the interrogations that he had five at that time last season and in terms with 29.
The start of the opening day Michael King struck the injured list, San Diego may need more production of an offense that especially had trouble during a recent sequence of six defeats before showing signs of life on Sunday.
This included the second basic player Jake Cronenworth, who took an equal 3-3 in seventh round by drilling a solo circuit on the right field. He then aligned a double of the right wall in the ninth.
“Obviously, it was a long road trip,” said Cronenworth, “but we played great (Sunday) and I can’t wait to return to San Diego.”
The right-hander Randy Vasquez (3-4, 3.49 ERA) obtains the ball to open the series. He came out of a defeat of 14-0 Wednesday evening in Toronto, where he gave two points on four strokes in 4 2/3 heats without walking and four stick with sticks.
He faced Miami once in his career, leaving the New York Yankees enclosure in a match in 2023 to get a victory after giving two 2/3 rounds.
Meanwhile, the Marlins made the short bus trip below the Interstate 5 of Orange County on Sunday after winning a 3-0 victory against the Los Angeles Angels to win this series. Edward Cabrera withdrew 10 2/3 rounds to win the victory, and Javier Sanoja struck in a race to open the score, then added a double and scored the fifth.
The release of Cabrera came one night after the first year manager, Clayton McCullough, attracted the veteran Cal when the fourth round of a match in which his team led 1-0. The move took place while Miami won 6-2, thanks to five good sleeves of the enclosure of Janson Junk.
“I don’t know if it will be a recipe, something we are going to try to make every match,” said McCullough.
Miami Trotara The former Padres launcher Ryan Weathers (1-0, 1.80) when opening the series. The left-hander worked for the last time Tuesday evening during the 14-1 defeat of his team against the Cubs of Chicago, abandoning one point on five strokes in five sleeves without walking and four withdrawals in the stick.
Weathers lost its only previous departure against San Diego, allowing five points on five strokes and five goals on balls in 3 1/3 rounds in one defeat of 6-2 on August 21, 2023.
