The actions of the Danish giant of renewable energies Orsted jumped on Tuesday, after an American judge ruled that the besieged company can resume the construction of an offshore wind farm which was interrupted by the Trump administration.

The decision means that Orsted can resume work on the Vent Revolution project almost completed off the coast of Rhode Island and Connecticut.

The actions of the listed company in Copenhagen were among the best performers of the STOXX 600 pan -European index during morning transactions. The share price, which marked a fresh record last month, was last seen around 6.6%.

The American District District Court of the Columbia district granted a preliminary injunction requested by Orsted on Monday to cancel the Trump administration’s judgment, allowing the construction of Revolution Wind to resume while the trial progresses.

Orsted said on Monday that he would start working on the project “As soon as possible”.

The victory of the court represents an important stay for the Danish company, which was hardly affected by the hard position of American president Donald Trump on offshore wind projects.

Since his return to the White House earlier this year, Trump has tightened the wind industry. During his first day in power, Trump signed an executive decree suspended from the renewed Oshore and offshore leases.

The American president, who defends the American petroleum and gas industries, told journalists in January that his administration “was not going to take the wind”.
