Orioles signs / activate the man of the Cooper Hummel utility

The Orioles of Baltimore signed the man of the Cooper Hummel utility to a free agent agreement and activated him on Sunday at the active list.
In a corresponding decision, the inner field player Terrin Vavra was appointed for assignment.
Hummel, 30, was released from his minor league contract by New York Yankees on Saturday.
He struck .258 with two products produced and six points in 10 games with Triple-A Scrancan / Wilkes-Barre. Hummel also spent time with the Houston astros in spring training before it was designated for assignment just before the opening day.
In some parts of three seasons of major leagues for Arizona Diamondbacks (2022), Seattle Mariners (2023) and Astros (2024), Hummel is a career in career .159 with three circuits and 17 products.
Vavra, 28, struck .245 with five points produced in 27 games for the Orioles this season and was a striker from .254 with a Home Run and 17 points produced in 67 games in the last two seasons with the club.
Baltimore also opted for the left-handed Trevor Rogers in Triple-A after being the 27th man for the double-head of Saturday against the Boston Red Sox.
