Operation Sindoor Aftermath: PBKS VS DC Match to move from Dharamsala? Sources say: “BCCI …”

The place of Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals IPL 2025 Clash (Thursday) and PBKS VS Mumbai Indians (Sunday) could be modified after the Sindoor operation. The match which was initially was to be organized by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium, Dharamsala, while the nearest airport is closed. However, the final decision on this subject has not yet been made. “The Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) is in contact with the Indian government on this subject,” sources told NDTV.

Early Wednesday, the Indian armed forces carried out 24 precision missile strikes on nine terrorist targets in Pakistan and cashmere occupied by Pakistan (Pok), including Muridke and Bahawalpur-groups of terrorists from Lashkar-E-Taiba and Jaish-E-Mohammend (Jem), respectively.

More than 70 terrorists were killed and more than 60 injured during strikes, sources said, while India has considerably degraded the operational capacity of these outfits. The attacks, which were carried out at 1:44 am, responded to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in the Jammu-et-Cachemire-Cachemire district which cost the life of 26 Indians and a Nepalese citizen on April 22.

With the temporary closure of Dharamsala airport after India’s missile strikes on Pakistan terrorist infrastructure, the IPL team travel plans which are supposed to play in the city of Hill have made a draw, but they have decided to adopt a waiting and monitoring policy for the moment, said a PTI record. Dharamsala, who is expected to welcome the capital of Punjab vs Delhi Capitals Clash on Thursday, still has a match on time – the match of May 11 between Punjab and the Indians of Mumbai. The picturesque city is the second reception base for the kings of Punjab, which faces no immediate logistical problems for the moment because they will be in the city until the end of this week.

But Delhi will have to understand his logistics because the players must be back at their base for the match on Sunday.

The travel plans of the Mumbai team in Dharamsala remain vague at this stage.

“Everything is fluid at the moment. The discussions are underway with the deductibles and they also discuss internally what are the travel options from Dharamsala to Delhi in case the airport remains closed,” said a BCCI source under the cover of anonymity.

“An option (for Delhi’s capitals) remains a bus trip, but it is not only teams but also the broadcasting team and equipment. This is an evolving situation,” he added.

India has made precision strikes in nine places in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Jammu and Cashmere in retaliation for the terrorist attack of Pahalgam during which 26 people, mainly tourists, were murdered.

At least 18 airports in the northern and west regions of the country have been temporarily closed due to military climbing. These include Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala and Jamnagar.

Chandigarh, which is the nearest alternative airport for Dharamsala, is among those closed for operations at the moment.
