Belgium will recognize the Palestinian state to the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said

Following in France, in the United Kingdom and in the footsteps of Canada, Belgium will recognize this month the state of Palestine in the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday, adding that this would impose “firm sanctions” on the Israeli government in the middle of the “humanitarian tragedy” which takes place in Gaza.
