Oliver Hudson remembers his first Christmas with Kurt Russell

Oliver Hudson loves a Kurt Russell Christmas.
While promoting his new holiday movie, A happy little ex-Masthe actor opened up about how Christmas is celebrated in his family.
“Christmas is a holiday and a tradition that cannot be separated a year later, a gap year,” Oliver explained to People.
He noted that Kurt, who has been dating his mother, Goldie Hawn, since 1983, brought new Christmas traditions. “Because with his family, which now of course is also mine, but on his side, it was a great tradition and he brought it to us.”
He recalled his first Christmas with Kurt, whom he calls “pa,” saying, “Our first Christmas that I had with him was in Colorado, and he had this little cabin that he lived in, and we were there, this was before we had the ranch, and he backed up against this hill. And we woke up in the morning and he said, ‘Listen, guys.'”
SO The thing The actor took the kids to look for sled tracks in the snow, a present stuck in the chimney and other activities.
Today, he celebrates the same with his children Wilder Brooks, Bodhi Hawn and Rio Laura, whom he shares with his wife, Erinn Hudson.
“Every year it’s big. Santa Claus comes, someone is dressed as Santa Claus, and Christmas Eve is red. The bells ring, everyone runs to the window and looks out into the snow, and his silhouette walks by and the kids cry like, ‘Oh my God, Santa Claus is here. We’re not sleeping. He’s going to leave.’ And we go upstairs. And that was me a hundred years ago, and then from generation to generation it gets passed down,” he shared.
“And that’s been passed down from generation to generation where we try to keep the kids as long as possible – 10, 11, 12 years – if we can get them to believe anymore,” Oliver added.
