Nuggets F Cameron Johnson (knee) not seriously injured

Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right knee and will miss some games, ESPN reported Wednesday.
No structural damage was detected in an MRI scan performed on Johnson’s knee injured in Tuesday night’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
The injury occurred with 9:18 remaining in the game. He was helped off the field after falling and grabbing his knee. He didn’t come back.
“I hope it’s better than it looks,” Denver coach David Adelman said.
The Nuggets lost, 131-130. They are already without two starters: goalkeeper Christian Braun (ankle), absent since an injury on November 12, and striker Aaron Gordon (hamstring). Gordon was wounded on November 21.
Johnson, 29, is averaging 11.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 28 games (all starts) this season, his first in Denver.
The Nuggets acquired Johnson in an offseason trade with the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first-round draft pick.
A first-round pick in 2019, Johnson also played for the Phoenix Suns.
He owns career averages of 12.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 368 games (209 starts). He is a lifetime 39.4% 3-point shooter and is averaging 2.3 3-pointers per game.
