An error in the Norwegian state of Norsk of State pushed certain people in the Scandinavian country to believe that they had marked more major lottery prices.
However, the information was false.
Norsk’s tilting has set up push notifications with inaccurate price figures for the Eurojackpot Friday drawing after a “calculation error during the conversion of Euro cents into Norwegian Kroner”, according to a translated version of a press release on the company Monday.
The price amounts should have been divided by 100 in the conversion of currencies, but a “manual” error multiplied them by this figure, said the company.

“We are terribly sorry to have disappointed so many people and completely understand that people are angry with us,” said Norsk Tipping in a statement at Fox Business. “We have received many messages from people who had already made plans for a vacation, the purchase of apartments or renovations before realizing that the amount was incorrect. For them, we cannot repeat our strongest apologies – although we understand that he does not offer much consolation.”
