Nick Jonas becomes real on how the health crisis has helped the family come together
Nick Jonas shared that his family got closer after his father, Kevin Jonas Sr, has been afraid of cancer.
The singer’s father received a diagnosis of colon cancer in 2017 and has been in remission since 2018.
By looking back now at that time, Nick said that the difficult period brought his family unexpectedly.
The 32 -year -old singer shared with PEOPLE: “[The] More emotionally difficult periods really test your endurance.
“But [our dad] was just such a champion and so courageous throughout our process. He [was] With such reflection that I think it helped us a lot and brought us to the encouragement we needed when we were simply trying to support him.
“Everyone has their own experience also in the difficult times of life and I am so grateful that we have come to the other side and that we get closer to family and stronger.”
The Jonas brothers launched their Jonas20 Living The Dream Tour this year and Nick said that their old songs had still struck the right note and felt both now and at the time.
